Tommy was born and raised in Yonkers, NY -- a little bit north of
Yankee Stadium. Is he a big Yankees' fan? You bet! When Tommy was
a kid he was really into Top 40/Rock n Roll radio, and spent a lot
of time listening to Wolfman Jack on the old WNBC, as well as all
the old jocks on WABC. Yep, Tommy was bitten by the radio bug at
an early age!
Tommy and his family would head to the Jersey Shore every summer,
and by the time he was into his teens he found himself working a
summer job on the Asbury Park Boardwalk. Asbury was the place to
be in the 70's and early 80's, and he loved hanging out at the Asbury
Park Circus and going to concerts at Convention Hall.
In the fall of '82, Tommy decided to officially make the Jersey
Shore his home year 'round. He enrolled in Monmouth College, and
couldn't resist joining the College's radio station WMCX. Tommy's
childhood fascination with radio never went away, and he loved doing
all types of radio shows at the station. His favorite being an Oldies
show he did on Saturday nights called "Juke Box Saturday Night."
Tommy first set foot in The Point's studios in 1988 -- years before
we even became The Point! Everyone here at The Point loves Tommy,
he's one of a kind -- and truly the nicest guy you're ever going
to meet! Tommy and his wife Nancy have two beautiful children, Maria
and Thomas.
You can talk to Tommy every Saturday morning on The Point. Give
him a call at (732) 988-Point!
